About the Guest:
A recent worldwide procurement survey said 65% of companies with a total supply chain spend of $5.5 trillion have limited or no supply chain visibility beyond Tier 1 vendors. Meeting supply chain compliance obligations for many is costly and burdensome. These challenges are only exacerbated for small businesses working inside supply chains and that is why we started Ovalz.
Ovalz is a FreightTech startup with a compliance and visibility platform that wants to help shipping and logistics companies lower financial and regulatory risk associated with the lack of visibility and make it easier to meet compliance & EDI obligations with an on-demand data exchange. Today more than ever data ownership and the secure exchange of data is becoming a necessity for these businesses. We believe the Ovalz Platform can be part of the solution by helping shippers and carriers with visibility, compliance, marketplaces and analytics we call it VCMA for short.
Our platform is currently comprised of two modules:
1. Ovalz BlockTrac a Track & Trace and bill of lading automation
2. Ovalz SmartTrac a compliance and EDI data exchange
One of our driving principles is to empower carriers and the shippers they work with. These carriers operate fleet sizes of 20 or less. Making smart technologies such as blockchain, smart contracts and the Internet of Things easy to adopt and affordable to use for small and Tier 2 or lower shippers and carriers is important to us. We want to help as many businesses as possible lower operating costs and increasing margins.
